The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) SoCal Blue team ended up winning the high school division, while the Fellowship of Christian Athletes SoCal Orange Team, coached by SCHS varsity head coach Glen Miles, were semi-finalists. SCHS lacrosse student athletes competing included Bennett Jonas, Chris Kazimi, Robbie Burns, Aaron Blanchard, Peyton Garrett, Walter Wakeman, Aaron Self, Brett Miller, David Anthony, Trevor Forsyth, Max Satossky, Stone Sims, Austin Streeter and Jonathan Kassity.

FCA Lacrosse team coached by Glen Miles (949-939-4326) & Jon Fox (714-412-9821) comprised of the top players from Southern California competed at the Gait Cup at Gettysburg College in July of 2010 and turned in an impressive 5-3 record. San Juan Capistrano defenseman Winston Robinson, and fellow St. Margaret’s Episcopal School lacrosse players Scott McGowan (Newport Beach, defense) and Peyton Garrett (San Clemente, attackman), 14, were in Tampa, Fla., this past weekend helping their club lacrosse team win the U-15 club national championship at the Dick’s Sporting Goods Tournament of Champions, Jan. 1-3. The trio play for the FCA club team from Baltimore, Md., which also won last summer’s Vail Shootout.
FCA went undefeated in the National Development Program-run tournament, which featured 14 U-15 champions from around the country and Canada and 52 teams overall including U-19s. FCA beat fellow Maryland-based club T-2 Storm, 12-4, in the title game. The FCA team–coached by 2009 University of Maryland captain Jeremy Sieverts –was comprised of mostly players from Maryland but had players from Virginia, Delaware, New York, Pennsylvania and California. Joining the aforementioned trio on the team from California was defenseman Garrett Parsons, who attends Santa Margarita Catholic High School.
