The 16-team bracket for the 2013 NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse Championship Presented by Northwestern Mutual was unveiled exclusively Sunday on ESPNU with Syracuse earning the No. 1 seed in the field. Tournament play begins with first-round action Saturday, May 11, featuring Lehigh at No. 5 seed North Carolina at noon ET on ESPN2. Sunday’s games open with Cornell at No. 6 Maryland at 1 p.m. on ESPN2.
The defending national champion Loyola-Maryland travels to No. 7 seed Duke on Sunday, May 12, at 5:15 p.m. on ESPNU. All games throughout the championship on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU can also be seen on WatchESPN.
ESPN networks will provide exclusive coverage of all 15 games of the NCAA Championship for the seventh straight year. Coverage will be across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN3 and WatchESPN beginning Saturday, May 11, and concludes with the national title game on Monday, May 27. The women’s championship weekend – beginning Friday, May 24, with the national semifinals – will be shown on ESPN3, followed by the title game on Sunday, May 26, on ESPNU and WatchESPN.

Major League Lacrosse: YouTube & The Lacrosse Network To Air 15 MLL Games In HD Beginning With Boston Cannons Vs New York Lizards On April 28

Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the premier outdoor lacrosse league, announced today that YouTube, the world-renowned video sharing site, will carry 15 games in high definition exclusively on the League’s channel YouTube.com/MLL, making the games available on a variety of platforms worldwide.
“We are very excited to bring 15 games exclusively to our YouTube Channel,” said MLL Commissioner David Gross. “This partnership will bring MLL to lacrosse fans all over the world as they will be able to watch the games on their smart TVs, computers or mobile devices.”
The partnership with YouTube has been facilitated by The Lacrosse Network (TLN), who handles lacrosse media distribution with YouTube. TLN will provide support in the distribution and technical side of the streams. The company has been working with the production team to ensure that it can bring the highest quality streams to YouTube. TLN is also working with Google to provide an enhanced viewing experience to the users that will be unique to its network of channels, including being able to interact with commentators and interact with Google hangouts during games.
Samir Chaudry, President of TLN echoed MLL Commissioner David Gross’s enthusiasm. “Our mission at TLN is to grow the game of lacrosse through the power of media. We are proud to partner with the MLL and believe that the global distribution of MLL games on YouTube’s interactive platform is a big win for the world-wide lacrosse community.”
The first game to be carried on YouTube will be the matchup between the Boston Cannons and the newly re-branded New York Lizards on Sunday, April 28 at 3:30 p.m., followed by the Ohio Machine’s home opener against the Denver Outlaws on Saturday, May 4 at 8:00 p.m. YouTube will also carry the Rochester Rattlers showdown against the Hamilton Nationals from FAU Stadium in Boca Raton, Fla., Saturday, June 22, at 7:00 p.m.

The USC women’s lacrosse team (5-8, 2-2 MPSF) looks to snap a three-game skid when it flies north for a Thursday-evening clash with defending conference champion Oregon (5-5, 0-1). The historic meeting will be the first-ever live broadcast of a lacrosse game on the new Pac-12 Networks with Jason Knapp and Sheehan Stanwick Burch on the call.

Major League Lacrosse: CBS Sports Network Announces That It Will Air 20 MLL Games, 18 Episodes Of “Inside The MLL” Nationally In 2013


Major League Lacrosse and CBS Sports Network Television Schedule

Major League Lacrosse (MLL) and CBS Sports Network announced today the television schedule for the 2013 season. The network will air 20 nationally televised games in addition to all 18 episodes of ‘Inside the MLL,’ the League’s 30-minute magazine show.
“We are very excited to expand the number of games on CBS Sports Network to 20 this season,” said MLL Commissioner David Gross. “Paired with our weekly magazine show ‘Inside the MLL’ it will give our fans unfettered access to the best MLL has to offer.”
The first nationally televised game of the season will be Saturday, May 18 featuring the Rochester Rattlers and the Denver Outlaws, from Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The game will air at 10:00 PM, ET on a one hour same-day delayon CBS Sports Network. The Network will feature several high profile games throughout the season, including Denver’sannual fireworks game on Thursday, July 4, when the Outlaws host the New York Lizards at 9:00 PM, ET. Additionally, CBS Sports Network will televise the Rochester home game against the Boston Cannons, from Kennesaw State University Stadium in Kennesaw, Ga.
