The University of Denver women’s lacrosse team will play eight games at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium as part of DU’s 2013 schedule, head coach Liza Kelly announced today. “The 2013 season is an exciting year for women’s lacrosse,” Kelly said. “The NCAA Tournament bracket has been expanded to 24 teams, eliminating the play-in games and adding more at-large spots. I feel strongly that our schedule puts Denver is position to contend for both an at-large spot and for the MPSF Championship automatic qualifier.”Denver opens the season with road trips to Vanderbilt (Feb. 16), George Washington (Feb. 22) and Delaware (Feb. 24), before returning home for its March 2 home opener against Louisville, the first of five-straight home games.
