How can I assist coaches in doing initial evaluation?

There are several levels of evaluations college coaches will do in order to determine where a prospects ranks on his priority scale. First, the coach will do a preliminary academic evaluation to determine any “red flags” in the area of academic eligibility and potential success in admissions. You can assist the coach by providing him with accurate and updated standardized test scores, as well as an accurate core course grade point average (determined by your guidance counselor) and a copy of your standardized testing.

Second, the college coach wants to get a feel for what potential athletic impact you will have in his program. Begin by providing the coach with a personal profile that lists your athletic levels and accomplishments, but be sure to follow this up with a crisp, clean and brief recruit DVD or web stream of your practice and game footage.
