Thousand Oak Lacrosse Players attend Cornell Advanced Camp

Five youth lacrosse players from the Thousand Oaks Knights attended the Cornell University Advanced Lacrosse Camp in Ithaca, NY. The five youth players are all members of TO Knights Middle School team which competes in the Southern California Lacrosse Association. Under Head Coach, Pat Smith and Assistant Coach, Brad Connors, the Knights finished their 2008 regular season campaign undefeated and captured the Middle School Division Championship with a record of 17-0. At the Advanced Camp the boys trained under Cornell Head Coach Jeff Tambroni, who in the last decade has returned the Cornell lacrosse program to national prominence including five Ivy League Championships and a Final Four appearance in 2007. The elite level 4-day camp featured game competition against some of the top prep school players in the country. The boys also attended a recruiting and academics counseling session to better inform the players on the college recruiting process. The Southern California Lacrosse Association features age-group divisions for 3rd/4th grades, 5th/6th grades, 7th/8th grades and High School girls and boys.
